Twelve Days of (Faerie) Christmas – Pre-order with the real cover!

Twelve Days of (Faerie) Christmas is up for pre-order on Amazon and other retailers! With the real cover! When Charlotte meets mysterious Ronan, her comfortable life is upended in a confusion of magic, monsters, and birds. Lots of birds. But Ronan’s increasingly ridiculous gifts are the least of her concerns – the spell connecting them is ticking like a bomb, and time is running out. It’s a clean, standalone fantasy adventure-romance novella/short novel of about 41,000 words. You can pre-order it on Amazon, Smashwords, and Kobo already, and the pre-order should appear on iBooks and B&N Nook very soon. The release […]

Twelve Days of (Faerie) Christmas is up for direct pre-order!

Twelve Days of (Faerie) Christmas is up for pre-order! Right now it’s only on pre-order directly from me with the temporary cover, with a release date of February 21. It’s about 40,000 words (long novella length) and is $3.99. If you get this version, you’ll also get the version with the real cover for free! You won’t be charged until the ebook is delivered. About a week after this version goes live, the book will be available on other retailers with the real cover, including Amazon, Barnes and Noble / Nook, Kobo, iBooks, and others. I just saw the preliminary version of the […]

Twelve Days of (Faerie) Christmas Release Plan! (+ a giveaway!)

Thank you for voting on the release date of Twelve Days of (Faerie) Christmas! 57% of the votes were for the “as soon as it’s done” option, so I’ll be releasing it sometime in February! I’m going to do something a little different this time, though. As soon as I’m done editing it, I’ll release it with the current (temporary) cover, available only directly from me. When the real cover is ready, I’ll update that listing on Gumroad and everyone who purchased it can get a copy with the updated cover at no additional cost. I’ll release it on other retailers about a […]

Twelve Days of (Faerie) Christmas Release Date Poll

I hope your Christmas was wonderful, filled with the love of family and friends and the joy and wonder of Christ’s birth. We had fun with my parents and Skyped my brother and new sister-in-law, whom we haven’t seen in far too long. Twelve Days of (Faerie) Christmas (obviously) wasn’t ready in time for a Christmas release. Partly this was because I needed to tweak a few things and editing always, without fail, takes longer than I expect it will. And partly this was because my fantabulous cover designer was booked up until well past Christmas! So this leaves me with […]

A Fairy Promise – Super Belated Announcement

I just realized I never actually announced that A Fairy Promise (the sequel to A Fairy King) was published. I published it last year and I think I even announced it to my mailing list but I forgot to blog about it. What’s that you say? You’re not on my mailing list? Whyever not? Enter your email address and clickety click the subscribe button up in the top bar! Then you’ll (probably) find out when I publish a new story/book/novella/whatever.   For better or worse, decisions have consequences. Even for a fairy king.     (Let me just say that I love […]

Interview: Hannah (from A Fairy King series, after A Fairy Promise)

I decided to interview Hannah, the narrator of A Fairy King and A Fairy Promise. Several readers submitted questions, so I asked Hannah directly. If you have any more questions, or questions for other characters, please let me know! Here she is!   C. J.: Hi Hannah. Thank you for making time to speak with me. Hannah: You’re welcome. She is soft-spoken. She brushes her hair back from her face with a slender hand; a ring flashes on her finger. C. J.: That’s a beautiful ring. Is it from Cadeyrn? Hannah: Her smile lights the room. Yes! Isn’t it beautiful? She hesitates, then says, Although I […]

A Fairy King

I just published a new novella! It’s called A Fairy King, and you can find it on Amazon and Smashwords, as well as purchase it directly from me.   Young Hannah receives an interesting letter. Is her pen pal a fairy prince or a prankster? How long will he write to her, and what will change as a result of his letters? He offers her a wish. Can he really grant a wish? What will she wish, and what will she offer him in return?     Early reviewers have said: Magic is alive, love is afoot: There are some […]
